GVSU STEM Summer Camp Seeking Counselors!

Are you a Grand Valley State University STEM or education student looking for summer work? Do you want to work with K-12 students interested in STEM? Will you be in the Grand Rapids Metropolitan area from May 30th through August 1st? If these all sound like you, consider applying as a GVSU STEM Summer Camp Counselor!

Through a partnership between the GVSU Regional Math & Science Center and the Padnos College of Engineering & Computing, GVSU hosts multiple annual summer camps that focus on bringing engaging experiential learning around STEM topics to K-12 students in Michigan. The program is looking to hire four GVSU students to serve as full-time camp counselors for the day camps, which each run a week. With ten camps total over the course of the summer, counselors will have plenty of time to gain experience working with campers from a variety of backgrounds and with other camp staff to facilitate a positive experience.

Student workers are paid hourly, and can expect to work up to 40 hours per week during the camp session!

Applications close March 25th, 2022, so apply today!
