Biography:
Dr. Sözen joined GVSU Engineering during fall 2007 after teaching at Southern University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for a combined sixteen years. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at The Ohio State University where he also served as a post-doctoral research associate. NASA, NSF and Abbott Laboratories were among the sponsors of his funded research. Dr. Sözen has been a recipient of summer faculty fellowships from NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, Argonne National Laboratory and US Naval Research Laboratory. His expertise is in the thermo-fluid sciences in general.
