We hope you will join us for our first LGBTQ+ FSA Happy Hour for the academic year!

We’ll be ordering some apps for the group, but you’ll be in charge of buying your own drinks (great non-alcoholic options available, too!). Join us for conversation and community building with other members of the FSA!
Community Read
This year, as part of the FSA Community Read, we'll read the novel Like Happiness by Ursula Villarreal-Moura.
Like Happiness was named a Best Book of 2024 by NPR, San Francisco Chronicle, ELLE, and Them, and was an Indie Next Pick. Macmillan Publishing described it as "A searing debut about the complexities of gender, power, and fame, told through the story of a young woman’s destructive relationship with a legendary writer."

Town Hall
Join us virtually for our LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association Town Hall!

We will be voting on a potiential new name, voting to pass updates to our Constitution and Bylaws, sharing an overview of this year's events and opportunities, and more!
Advocacy Fair
The Advocacy subcommittee is hosting an Advocacy Resource Fair for our FSA members! Drop in to learn about on and off campus resources that support 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, connect with members of other FSAs and GVSU offices, and enjoy some free pizza while learning what resources exist in our community!
