Transfer Student Advising & Registration Committee(old)

Purpose

The purpose of the LAAN Transfer Advising and Registration (TSAR) Subcommittee is to act as a representative body for the LAAN committee on issues regarding Transfer Student Advising and Registration. The TSAR Subcommittee is charged with implementing the changes recommended in the Executive Summary created by the previous transfer advising and registration task force back in March 2019. 

About the Transfer Student Advising Subcommittee

  1. Composition
    • The TSAR Subcommittee is composed of six Academic Advisors who will serve two-year terms: it is preferred that only one person from an advising Center serves at any one time. A chair will be elected by the Subcommittee and will report to the LAAN Executive Committee as requested.

  3. Officers
    • A chair will be elected by the TSAR Subcommittee every year and will report to the LAAN Executive Committee as requested. 
  4. Responsibilities
    • The TSAR Subcommittee will report to the LAAN Committee and have the following responsibilities:
      • to review the GVSU TSAR Program and implement changes as outlined in the March 2019 Executive Summary. 
      • to report to the LAAN Committee any findings and recommendations which are relevant to Transfer Student Advising and Registration.
