She teaches across all academic levels, offering courses in programming, mathematical modeling, and biomedical signal and image processing. In leadership roles, she has served as Assistant Director of the School of Engineering, chair of the Integrated Engineering program, and a key contributor to faculty development and student success initiatives.
Beyond her academic work, Dr. Rhodes is co-organizer of the Roger That! Conference, a STEAM-focused event celebrating space exploration and inspiring K–12 students in STEM. She has represented the Padnos College of Engineering on numerous university governance committees and is a proud alumna of the HERS Leadership Development Institute. Her excellence in teaching, mentorship, and service has been recognized with the 2024 Glenn A. Niemeyer Award and the 2025 Distinguished Graduate Mentoring Award.
What is your favorite book, quote or resource?
My favorite book is nearly always the last one I read! I recently finished one called Klara and the Sun which was really good.
I have too many favorite quotes from books to pick one - but the one I find myself using most often is "what fresh hell is this"....not too inspiring but sooo good! It works for most situations - definitely try it!
