Top Student IT Frequently Asked Questions
This is a common question that we receive!
If you know what you will be majoring in, we recommend that you
contact the department to see if they have any specific
recommendations or requirements for a laptop. If they do not, it is a
user preference of either a Mac or a PC. In general, we do not
recommend Chromebooks.

All GVSU applications and websites can be accessed at my.gvsu.edu. Once logged in, you will be able to search and select the application or website needed.
As a student, you have access to all the Microsoft 365 Applications at no cost! Head to gvsu.edu/it/microsoftoffice to learn how to download the applications to your personal device.
