Top Student IT Frequently Asked Questions
This is a common question that we receive!
If you know what you will be majoring in, we recommend that you
contact the department to see if they have any specific
recommendations or requirements for a laptop. If they do not, it is a
user preference of either a Mac or a PC. In general, we do not
recommend Chromebooks.

Need to print a paper or project while at GVSU? We've got you covered with GV Print—a cloud-based printing system that makes it easy.
You can upload your document online and release it to print at any computer lab during open hours or at designated print stations across campus.
Every student gets $25 in free printing per semester. If you need more, you can add funds anytime at gvprint.gvsu.edu.
