Fall 2026 | GVSU Housing Move-In & Airport Transportation

Any international students who are starting their first semester at GVSU this August, are eligible for our move-in service. Students must arrive to the Grand Rapids, Gerald R Ford Airport [GRR] on the designated arrival date and during the designated times which are as follows:

IF YOU ARE ARRIVING ON AUGUST 20 IN THE EVENING AND WOULD LIKE US TO PICK YOU UP FROM A NEARBY HOTEL ON THE 21ST, PLEASE INDICATE ON THE FORM THAT YOUR FLIGHT ARRIVAL DATE IS AUGUST 21 & THAT YOU ARE ARRIVING AFTER 6PM THAT DAY. If arriving after 6pm on Sunday, August 23, you will need to arrange your own temporary accommodation, transportation to campus, and move into your GVSU Housing yourself starting Monday, August 24. The latest you can move yourself into GVSU Housing is Friday, September 4.

The earliest date first semester iStudents can move into GVSU Housing is August 21, 2026.
International Student Orientation is mandatory for all first semester International Students and takes place August 24-26, 2026.
If you arrive outside of our designated arrival date & times, you will need to arrange your own transportation.
The latest first semester international students can join GVSU is September 4. If you will be arriving any later than this, please contact Admissions at [email protected] to defer to a later semester.

You can wait at the airport until we conduct our first airport pick-up of the day.
You can arrange your own transportation to the iHouse on the Allendale Campus so we can assist you with move-in between 11am and 6pm, August 21, 22, or 23, 2026. The iHouse is also called the Laker Village South Community Center and is located at: 10440 Laker Village Dr, Allendale, MI 49401
