OPT Request | Summer Graduates

This form is to initiate your OPT work authorization and will produce a new "OPT Request" I-20. You need this new I-20 in order to apply for OPT with USCIS.
Please pick a date to start your OPT. For Summer 2026 graduates can pick a start date anytime between August 12 and October 10, 2026.
Please remember to apply to graduate at the Registrar's Office!

Processing Time: We will begin processing OPT Requests for Summer 2026 starting mid-May. After this date, we expect to take about 1 week (5 business days) to process.
