If arriving after 6pm on January 7, you will need to arrange your own temporary accommodation, transportation to campus, and move into your GVSU Housing yourself starting January 8. The latest you can move yourself into GVSU Housing is January 16. 

Please note:

• The earliest date first semester iStudents can move into GVSU Housing is January 7, 2026.
• International Student Orientation is mandatory for all first semester International Students and takes place January 8 & 9, 2026.
• If you arrive outside of our designated arrival date & times, you will need to arrange your own transportation. 
• The latest first semester international students can join GVSU is January 16. If you will be arriving any later than this, please contact Admissions at [email protected] to defer to a later semester.
