Bring your lunch and join GRAM for a free Lunch and Learn
presented with Kaufman Interfaith Institute. Hear from Dr. Anne Heath,
Associate Professor of Art History and Director of the Mellon Scholars
Program at Hope College, who teaches Islamic Art and will help us
learn the basic elements of Islamic Art, how those elements are
evident in the current exhibits at GRAM, and what Islamic Art and
these exhibits teach us about interfaith cooperation and
community. She will be followed by a conversational panel of
interfaith voices representing the Judaism, Buddhism, and, of course,
Islam reflecting on this style out of their own traditions. Come
ready to create as we will conclude out time by making some Islamic
Art of our own!
RSVP for this event is encouraged, but not required. This event is BYOB (bring your own lunch) and free to the public and GRAM members.
