GVSU's Academy of Community and Public Safety finishing first year at renovated Holland Campus

Some of the major renovations to the Holland Campus include a larger classroom, a drive track for simulated road stops and emergency vehicle training, four scenario rooms for simulating evidence collection and other exercises, a weight and fitness center, a mat room for restraint training and a virtual reality training room.

GVSU professor and students alleviate pediatric patient fear through art

In the treatment area, young patients can climb into a wooden, green and gold trolley car while their parents wait on one of the station’s benches. In the dentist’s chair, they are able to look around and see buildings from around Holland lining the walls alongside paintings of tulips and other flowers from varying seasons. In the corner is a scaled recreation of the De Zwann windmill in Holland, complete with copper tiling on its top.

GVSU celebrates Día de los Muertos at Ofrendas Vivas event

The event is hosted by GVSU's Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Kaufman Interfaith Institute and GVSU Libraries on the main floor of the Mary Idema Pew Library near the GV Brew. Ofrendas Vivas, or living offerings, will run from October 29 through November 2 and is open to all GVSU community members.
