Grand Valley's Frederik Meijer Honors College and the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies will host a lecture that will focus on the role of education as it related to the SS-Einsatzgruppen, Nazi mobile killing units that operated between 1941 and 1943.

Memories from Holocaust survivors to be recreated during performance
Henry Greenspan's play "Remnants" recreates moments from his extensive interviews with multiple Holocaust survivors that have taken place over the past 40 years. The play features scenes based on memories the survivors have of living through the Holocaust and the trauma they've experienced since. Greenspan, a psychologist, oral historian and playwright at the University of Michigan, will bring "Remnants" to Grand Valley on November 8.

New art exhibits feature global travels, the art of preservation, and idealizing common objects
Grand Valley State University's permanent art collection currently consist of more than 16,000 works by various artists from around the world who have explored numerous mediums through varying inspirations. Rounding out the summer months and transitioning into the fall semester, Grand Valley's Art Gallery will offer four free exhibitions displayed in its multiple galleries on both the Allendale and Pew Grand Rapids campuses.
