Jeff Bouwman, '03, a science teacher at Shumate Middle School in Gibraltar, Michigan, has been named the 2019 Middle School Science Teacher of the Year by the Michigan Science Teachers Association.

Grad students receive Dean's Citation Awards

The Graduate School recognized more than 40 graduate students with Dean's Citation Awards during a celebration in December on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.  Jeff Potteiger, dean of The Graduate School, gave recipients a certificate of recognition and a graduate honors cord for their outstanding academic performance.

Groundswell awarded grant for outdoor education experiences for GRPS students

A new initiative will create outdoor education experiences for all PreK-12 students in Grand Rapids Public Schools. This initiative, Grand Rapids Environmental Education Network (GREEN), received a $300,000 grant from the Wege Foundation.
