GVSU students leading campaign to create healthy and safe campus culture

The Student Campus Culture work group has developed a peer-to-peer campaign to promote proper and frequent PPE usage, social distancing and hand washing to protect the overall health of the campus community. The group includes undergraduate, graduate, international and non-traditional students.

GVSU staff member encourages community to recognize and celebrate Juneteenth

Juneteenth is a holiday that brings people together to celebrate community, listen to speakers, sing and enjoy food. Takeelia Garrett, the student ombuds and co-chair of the Black Faculty and Staff Association at Grand Valley, said this year the celebration means even more.

Incident Management Team update

Student Employment + (SE+) was initiated by the Student Employment Office with support from the Career Center and the Division of Inclusion and Equity to create a better employment experience for students.

The Michigan Student Voting summit is sponsored by Campus Vote Project and the All-In Campus Democracy Challenge. GVSU hosted the summit in the spring of 2019 and is assisting with planning this year's event.

Move out process begins again for GVSU students who live in on-campus housing

The end of the semester means most students who live on campus during the year move out of their rooms and return home. This year is different, as most left when President Philomena V. Mantella announced GVSU would move to remote instruction for the remainder of the Winter 2020 semester in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
