About 50 students from Crestwood Middle School in Kentwood visited the Allendale Campus March 8 to learn about computers, coding and careers in computing and information systems.

Longtime head of Facilities Planning to retire

James Moyer, associate vice president for Facilities Planning and member of the President's Cabinet, will retire March 31. During Moyer's 22-year career at Grand Valley, he managed the development of more than 4 million square feet of expansion at the university, including major building projects at the Allendale and Grand Rapids campuses and centers in Muskegon.
