The Grand Valley women's track and field team claimed its fifth NCAA Division II National Title this past weekend at the NCAA Outdoor Championship competition in Pueblo, Colorado.
The competition included two Lakers winning individual event national championships: Klaudia O'Malley in the 1500-Meter Run and Erika Beistle in the Discus Throw.
The championship caps off a season in which the Laker women's team won the GLIAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships. It was the Lakers' first outdoor championship in 13 years and their first overall title win since 2021.
