Week of thanks to donors set for third year

Did you know that 15,433 donors gave to Grand Valley in 2014?

Or that 2,800 students have given to the Student Legacy Scholarship, a scholarship funded by students for students that has supported 42 students since 2007?

The Future Alumni Association will host the third annual GVS(You) Week February 16-20 to raise awareness about and celebrate the thousands of donors who support and give to Grand Valley each year.

During the week, students will be encouraged to write personal notes to donors thanking them for their support. From February 17-19, card-writing stations will be set up in Allendale and Grand Rapids:

- Kirkhof Center lobby: Tuesday, February 17, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

- DeVos Center, building C lobby: Wednesday, February 18, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

- Henry Hall: Thursday, February 19, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

- Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences, Thursday, February 19, 11:-30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Throughout the week, FAA will organize a social media contest that include the hashtags #Laker4aLifetime and #GVSYou. Follow FAA on Twitter (@FAA_GVSU) for details.

The week will conclude with Spirit Day on Friday, February 20. Students wearing Grand Valley gear will be given prizes.
