Local non-profit and organization employees are invited
to a workshop January 9 to learn ways to decrease operation costs by
using energy efficiency best practices.
Hosted by Grand Valley’s Michigan Alternative and
Renewable Energy Center and organized by the Muskegon Area
Sustainability Coalition, the workshop will take place from
1:30-4:30 p.m. RSVP by emailing [email protected].
The workshop, which is free and open to the public, is
recommended for facility, business and operation managers from
school districts, higher education institutions, non-profit
organizations and government municipalities.
Presenters include Tim Shireman of ReBuild Michigan;
Matthew Heun, professor of mechanical engineering at Calvin College;
Dru Ross, energy adviser at Consumers Energy; Todd O’Grady of
Michigan Saves; and Cheri Holman, a board member of the U.S. Green
Building Council of West Michigan.
