MAREC to host agriculture energy conference
Grand Valley’s Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center will
host a conference that will bring together experts, business owners
and community members interested in renewable energy and efficiency in
the agricultural industry.
The half-day conference on July 25 is free and open to the
public; lunch will be provided.
Presentation topics will include methane gas, methane digesters
in the dairy industry, business strategies for energy efficiency,
on-farm energy issues, and energy in the grain industry, among others.
Representatives from Novi Energy, Zeeland Farm Service, Michigan
State University, Midwest Energy Group, MAREC, Michigan Agricultural
Commodities, The Right Place, and Warner, Norcross and Judd will be present.
The conference is sponsored by the Michigan Agri-Business
Association, the Right Place and MAREC.
