Laker5 challenge continues through January 27

Students continue to describe their Grand Valley experience through the Laker5 challenge, which is designed to encourage students to express their creativity and school spirit in five words.

The contest ends January 27 and students can submit up to three entries at www.gvsu.edu/Laker5 for a chance to win a scholarship.

Students will be able to vote on their favorite Laker5 entries, up to three times, from January 31-February 9, and the top 10 finalists will receive a free ticket to the Presidents’ Ball on February 17, where the top 5 winners will be announced.

A group of judges will determine first, second and third place winners, along with two runners-up. Winners will receive scholarships that total more than $2,500. The first place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to Grand Valley, the second place winner will receive a $750 scholarship, and the third place winner will receive a $500 scholarship. The two runner-ups will each receive a $250 scholarship.
