Registration for “Change U,” a free social justice program at Grand
Valley, is open until November 16. Faculty, staff members, students
and the West Michigan community are invited to participate in the
program, which is organized by Grand Valley’s LGBT Resource Center.
“Change U 1.0” will begin in January and continue through April.
Participants will attend an introductory session followed by eight
evening sessions every Thursday on the Allendale Campus. Download the
application and learn more about the training schedule online at www.gvsu.edu/socialjustice.
The program will provide the opportunity to learn skills and
strategies participants can use to pursue their passions. It is
supported by a grant from the Arcus Foundation Gay and Lesbian Fund
and is co-sponsored by the Grand Valley Division of Inclusion and Equity.
Students who completed the training series last year can
participate in “Change
U 2.0,” an advanced level of the program.
For more information, contact the LGBT Resource Center at (616) 331-2530.
