Keeping New Year's Resolutions

Work Life Connections and the Women's Center are presenting a three workshops in a New Year's Resolution Series aimed at helping people make good on those annual self-improvement promises.

The first workshop is “Keeping Your New Year’s Resolution – Reality Check,” which will be held January 9, 302C DEV or January 16 in 201 KC, both from noon to 1 p.m. Sara M. Ecklove and Kate Lynn of Encompass will discuss why we make resolutions, why we break them and what might help in keeping them.

The second workshop, “Right on the Money: Creating a Monthly Budget,” is January 23 in 142 KC from noon to 1 p.m. Brenda Kading-Payne of Edward Jones offers information about various aspects of personal financial budgeting. Attendees will learn the necessary tools to implement a successful monthly budget in your home.

The final workshop, “Commitment to Healthy Living,” will be February 13 from noon to 1 p.m. in 201 KC. Grand Valley’s new Health and Wellness Coordinator, Lindsey DesArmo, will give advice on how to make small changes that produce big results.
