Before returning to GVSU to pursue my DNP degree I worked as a registered nurse, clinical educator, clinical implementation specialist, and clinical program manager. I currently work as a graduate assistant for KCON, serve as the current president for the KCON Graduate Student Organization, current president of the Multicultural Student Nurses Organization (MSNO) cofounded in 12/2022, and a current Cook Leadership Academy fellow. My work experience, course of study, and passion for interprofessional collaboration and quality improvement will lend itself well to a team-oriented pursuit of an enhanced graduate student experience and community. In addition, my work with DEIJ initiatives in the KCON GSO has made me passionate for ensuring an equitable and inclusive graduate student experience.

I am a driven and passionate graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science at Grand Valley State University. Before coming to Grand Valley, I earned my bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Pune University, India. I believe in the transformative power of technology and its ability to make a positive impact on people's lives. As a Graduate Assistant in the Visual and Media Arts department, I've had the privilege of working on exciting projects and collaborating with faculty members from diverse backgrounds. My experiences have taught me the value of effective teamwork and the importance of maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor in all interactions. Being friendly and easy-going has not only helped me build strong relationships with my peers but also enabled me to actively listen to their concerns and needs. Currently, I am employed as a Graduate Faculty Research Assistant at the Seidman College of Business and also serving as a Vice President for the Graduate Student Association. I am deeply committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our graduate student community, and I strive to create a supportive and welcoming environment for everyone.

I am a highly motivated and progress-focused graduate assistant with a psychology and criminal justice background. With a track record of initiative and dependability, I have served in leadership capacities as a former student-athlete, captain, and sustainability captain of my respective teams, and a graduate assistant. I am a capable and consistent problem-solver skilled at prioritizing and managing projects with proficiency. I have proven to be effective and collaborative with strong interdisciplinary communication talents. I enjoy collective brainstorming sessions which allow me to coordinate activities to achieve a common goal. I believe my background and achievements make me an excellent candidate for service on the GVSU Graduate Student Association.

I am a 2023 graduate of Grand Valley with a bachelor’s in business administration, majoring in Business Economics and Finance. I am pursuing my MSA to prepare for the CPA examination. I own an accounting firm where, together, with my team, we manage finances for many small business clients. As an active investor and entrepreneur, I have a deep passion for encouraging others, bringing people together, and solving problems. I am excited to join the Executive Board and bring my enthusiasm for service and finance to the organization. I am a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids and live on the northeast side with my wife and two dogs. Outside of school and work I enjoy reading, politics, great restaurants, and traveling.

Hailing from a diverse cultural background, Jhon's open-minded and welcoming nature has allowed him to build strong connections with people from all walks of life. His ability to embrace diversity has not only enriched his personal experiences but also influenced his approach to professional life. Having spent several years honing his skills in the field of finance and accounting, Jhon has garnered a wealth of practical experience. His dedication and commitment to delivering accurate and insightful financial analysis have earned him respect among colleagues and peers alike. Jhon's thirst for knowledge and determination to achieve excellence led him to pursue higher education. Currently, he is enrolled in the prestigious MBA program at the Seidman College of Business. This educational pursuit has provided him with a platform to explore new challenges and expand his horizons in the ever-evolving world of business and finance. Beyond his academic endeavors, Jhon is known for his philanthropic efforts. He actively participates in community service projects and believes in giving back to society. Through these activities, he hopes to inspire others to embrace compassion and empathy.
