Sheri DeVries has been with Grand Valley State University and The Graduate School since September 2022. She earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, health fitness instruction from GVSU.

Sheri serves as administrative assistant to The Graduate School and Dr. Jeffrey Potteiger, Associate Vice-Provost for the Graduate School. She is the primary contact for scheduling meetings with the AVP.

She manages all aspects of the Graduate Assistantship program, Presidential Research Grants, and the Academic Conference Fund for graduate students, and supports the Graduate Student Association as an unofficial advisor, primarily handling the financial aspects of the organization and the funding board.

Sheri coordinates the activities of the Graduate Council, including meeting scheduling, official records, and coordinating the external reviewer site visits for graduate program review.

She also coordinates the Graduate Program Directors meetings, new graduate faculty luncheons, the Graduate Student Celebration, Graduate Showcase, and other meetings and events sponsored by The Graduate School.
