Long joined The Graduate School as a Student Assistant in Spring/Summer 2019 and then became the Resources and Marketing Graduate Assistant in Fall 2022. Currently, as a Specialized Programs and Support Graduate Assistant, he is responsible for coordinating the monthly Grad News newsletter and other special research projects. Long also supports the management of events such as the Graduate Showcase and the 3-Minute Thesis Competition.

Long received a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Management from Grand Valley State University in 2022. His education journey continues here in the Master of Public Administration program, through which, he got the opportunity to now work as an intern at the City of Grand Rapids.

Outside of class and work, Long also participates in various Asian cultural student organizations, the volunteering club Circle K International, and the International City/County Management Association Graduate Student Chapter. He enjoys playing video games, listening to K-pop, going to the movies, and drinking boba tea.
