Antonio Herrera, professor emeritus of education

Antonio Herrera, professor emeritus of education, died October 4, 2024. He was 85.

A native of Colombia, South America, Herrera began working at Grand Valley in 1972 after earning a doctoral degree and teaching at the University of Oregon. He established faculty and student exchange programs with the University of Granada in Spain and the University of Sarajevo in the former Yugoslavia. Herrera also coached the Laker men's club soccer team for 14 years. He retired in 2006.
