Jenny Hall-Jones, vice president for Student Affairs, and Kevin Conn, assistant vice president for Student Affairs, Housing and Residence Life, were interviewed by multiple media outlets for stories about Move-In.

Heather Moody, associate professor of geography and sustainable planning, was interviewed by WOOD-TV for a story about forest management through tree mapping.  

Eric Kunnen, senior director for IT Innovation Research, was interviewed by WZZM-TV for a story about ethical use of AI in the classroom.

Deana Weibel, professor of anthropology, was interviewed by Space.com for a story about the reignited debate over Pluto's planet status. Weibel was also interviewed by the MIT Technological Review for a review of three books about space.

Jeremy Paul, associate director of student life, received the Outstanding Campus Employee Award at the 58th Biennial Convocation of Sigma Pi Fraternity. Grand Valley's Theta-Rho Chapter received the Grand Chapter Award. 

Laurence José, professor of writing and director of the Digital Studies program, and Vinicius Lima, associate professor of graphic design and foundations, were guests on an In a Glimpse podcast, “Dwelling in Discovery.”

Engineering faculty Catherine Molloseau and Yunju Lee; Ira Woodring, assistant professor of computing; Amy McFarland, professor of interdisciplinary studies; and Isak Davis, farm manager and educator, were authors of an article, "Smart Composter for Experiential Learning in Sustainable Agriculture: System Design and Application for a Small Scale Farm Setting," published in the International Journal of Environment, Engineering & Education.

Azizur Molla, professor of public health, served as co-editor of a book, Climate Change, Drinking Water Security, and Public Health, published by Springer Nature.

Adrienne Wallace, associate professor of advertising and public relations, was elected to the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication's Professional Freedom and Responsibility committee.

Sarah Nechuta, associate professor of public health, and GVSU alumni Raegan Holek and Chelsea Rossow were authors of an article, "Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Perinatal Outcomes: A Population-based Pooled Cross-sectional Study," published in the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics.

Brian Johnson, professor of criminal justice, wrote a chapter, "Human Rights and the Private Security Industry: The Need for Alignment," in the book Citizens; the State and Justice: A Multidisciplinary Perspective, published by Routledge. 

Robert Anglin, an integrative studies student, wrote an article, “Drawing a Blank. DfM and Die Process,” published in MetalForming Magazine. Writing and editing the article was part of Anglin's practicum project with Denise Goerisch, associate professor and director of integrative studies.

Carrie Buist, associate professor of criminal justice, received a $34,000 grant from the Michigan State Police in support of the GVSU Cold Case Investigation Program. The funds will support new investigative equipment, software subscriptions and wages for a student worker.
