President Mantella, multiple departments will host Tech Week GR events

President Philomena V. Mantella will host Leroy Hood, the scientist who helped pave the way for the Human Genome Project, during Tech Week Grand Rapids, which runs Sept. 14-19.

Is Your Body a Data Center? The Future of Human Health is Thursday, Sept. 17, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the L. William Seidman Center, lunch is provided. RSVP for this event.

Hood is a scientist and physician whose work has helped shape genomics, systems biology and personalized medicine. He received a National Medal of Science for his contributions to the field.
