The 29th Annual Student Scholars Day (SSD) is April 9, a celebration of the scholarship, research and creative work by GVSU students.

SSD is coordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship. This year we are proud to showcase more than 300 student presentations and 42 pieces of art, including posters, oral presentations, film/video, live performances, recorded videos, mini zines and podcasts.

Events kick off on April 8, 4-5 p.m., at the Alumni House with a keynote address by Shobita Parthasarathy, professor of public policy and women’s and gender studies, and director of the Science, Technology and Public Policy Program at the University of Michigan. Parthasarathy will present "To Achieve Social Equity, We Must Rethink Innovation Systems."

A schedule of events for SSD 2025 is available online.

Poster sessions will be held in the Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room, and the Henry Hall Atrium. Oral presentations will take place throughout the day in the Kirkhof Center. Additionally, a student art exhibition will be on display at the Calder Art Center from April 7-25.
