Pew FTLC - ACUE Effective Teaching Practices FLC

Description 

As part of a faculty cohort program, the earner of this badge has completed the Association of Colleges and Universities (ACUE) course in Effective Teaching Practices involving 25 modules concentrating on teaching practices organized around five units of study: designing an effective course and class, establishing a productive learning environment, using active learning techniques, promoting higher order thinking, and assessing to inform instruction and promote learning.

Silver Level Criteria

To earn a silver badge, participate fully in each semester of this year-long Faculty Learning Community and submit evidence of receiving the ACUE Certificate in Effective Instruction.

Gold Level Criteria

Complete the silver badge and then provide evidence of continued implementation or dissemination related to the FLC, either through a development of a new course, invited campus presentation, conference presentation or publication.

To earn a gold badge as an FLC facilitator, participate in a facilitator orientation session and submit a reflection about the experience of serving in this leadership capacity.  For those unable to attend a face-to-face session, submit an additional written reflection on the assigned orientation readings.
