Are you committed to public service and transformative leadership in your chosen field? Are you a current junior (and thus eligible to apply in this academic year) or a first-year or sophomore student already planning on graduate school and a life in the public arena and planning to apply in a future year? Join me to learn more about the prestigious, life-changing Truman Scholarship! The Harry S. Truman Scholarship is far more than just financial assistance for graduate study; on the Truman Scholarship website you'll find information about the financial support, mentoring, leadership seminars and summer internships the Foundation provides to help Truman Scholars be the best public servants possible.

This is the nation's premiere scholarship for students interested in public service. The Truman Scholarship is a highly competitive, merit-based award offered to U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals from Pacific Islands who wish to go to graduate school in preparation for a career in government, the non-profit sector or elsewhere in public service. Truman Scholars participate in leadership development programs and have special opportunities for internships and employment with the Federal government.

In order to be eligible for this distinguished fellowship, you must currently be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program, and be planning on attending graduate school to further a career in public service. At the time you apply, you must either have junior-level academic standing or senior-level standing in your third year of college enrollment.
