Did you know the State of Michigan is the largest employer in the state? And did you know that applying for a position with the State of Michigan can look a little different from a typical job application?
Join us to learn more about careers with the State of Michigan and connect with representatives from a variety of state departments. Students from all majors, programs, and degree levels are encouraged to attend.
This event includes two connected sessions:
10:00–11:00 a.m. | State of Michigan Application & Hiring
Information Session
Learn about the State of Michigan’s application and hiring
process, including what makes it different from other job
applications. Get tips and information to help you navigate the
process with confidence.
11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | Panel Presentation & Networking
Hear from representatives from a variety of State of Michigan
departments during a panel presentation, followed by informal
networking. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, explore
career options, and make connections with state employees.
Can’t stay for the entire event? No problem! The two sessions flow directly into one another, but students are welcome to drop in and participate whenever their schedule allows.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Please note: This is a "come as you are" event, and casual attire is acceptable.
