Program description:
Gain professional researching and writing experience with nongovernment organizations (NGOs) while taking action to help them address social problems in Cape Town, South Africa.
Program Highlights:
- Gain workplace writing experience in an international context
- Intern for NGOs in Cape Town (such as African Impact Foundation, Grandmothers against Poverty and AIDS, for example) who are in need of grant writing, organizational storytelling, or promotional materials
- Explore natural wonders and rich cultural history of Cape Town through field trips, which may include a community tour, a wildlife safari, Cape Point Peninsula, Boulder’s Beach, Table Mountain, and Robben Island
