The West Michigan Hindu Temple

Ever wonder what the inside of a Hindu temple looks like? Are you curious about one of the world's oldest religions, Hinduism? Join our GVSU Religious Studies program faculty as we visit the West Michigan Hindu Temple, and are hosted and given a tour by Pracharak Fred Stella. The Pracharak will talk about Hindu history, show you the statues of Hindu gods and goddesses housed in the temple, tell you about the ancient fire ceremony, perhaps the oldest ritual in human history! This is one of the great opportunities during your time at GVSU, to learn in-depth about the variety of religions within our diverse culture. For flexibility in departures following the tour, your own transportation will be needed there and back, so gather a group of friends and classmates and join us at the West Michigan Hindu Temple. Sign-up is needed at the URL provided.
