The U.S. higher education system must harness all talent to maintain its economic leadership, innovation, and vibrancy. The strong leadership of business and higher education is needed to build strong and inclusive talent pipelines that address talent shortages in critical sectors, evolving skill demands, and shifting labor dynamics.
GVSU Faculty and Staff are invited to join President Philomena Mantella and Kristen Fox, CEO of the Business-Higher Education Forum, for a thought-provoking conversation on how higher education and industry can work together to meet these challenges. This discussion will cover:
- Emerging trends and essential skills shaping the jobs of tomorrow
- The impact of AI and technological shifts on workforce development
- Work-based learning models that foster career mobility and economic growth
- Strategies to expand access and credential completion across the talent pipeline
- The importance of liberal education
