Dress to impress and join CAB for one of GVSU's most elegant traditions—Presidents' Ball! Spend an unforgettable evening dancing, celebrating, and making memories with friends at GLC Live at 20 Monroe in downtown Grand Rapids. 2027 marks the 40th Anniversary of Presidents' Ball.
The 2027 theme will be revealed later in November 2026, so stay tuned for the big announcement!
The evening begins with a live jazz band during Jazz Hour from 7–8 p.m., creating the perfect atmosphere to mingle and enjoy the venue. At 8 p.m., DJ Composition takes over the dance floor, keeping the party going until midnight.
Throughout the evening, enjoy:
- Live Jazz Hour (7–8 p.m.)
- DJ Composition (8 p.m.–12 a.m.)
- Special Performances
- Special Welcome from President Mantella
- Complimentary hors d'oeuvres
- Photo booth
- Sensory-sensitive room
- Drinks available for purchase (valid state-issued ID required to purchase alcohol)
Complimentary transportation will be available from the Kirkhof Center directly to GLC Live at 20 Monroe, making it easy to enjoy the evening without worrying about transportation.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Guests may arrive anytime before 10 p.m., when entry to the event closes. Once you're inside, the celebration continues until 12 a.m. Please note that alcohol sales end at 10 p.m., and guests must present a valid state-issued ID to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Tickets go on sale in late November 2026. GVSU students are welcome to purchase tickets for themselves and invite non-GVSU guests to attend. Visit the Presidents' Ball website for ticket information, policies, FAQs, and additional event details.
