When communities embrace innovation in K-12 education, kids win.

One way this occurs is by providing families with a variety of school options that can meet individual needs. For instance, a new study from Stanford University recently found that students nationally who attend charter public schools typically learn more than their peers in traditional public schools. The learning gains are even higher for Black and Hispanic students and students in poverty, indicating that historical achievement gaps can be closed quicker when kids have more access schools that better meet their needs.

At "Opportunity for All," special guest Walter Blanks Jr. will provide a national perspective on why the expansion of educational pathways is working for children and families around the country. He'll then lead a panel conversation featuring leaders from charter public schools across Michigan who are advancing educational equity by creating inclusive learning environments for historically underserved populations.

Join us to learn more about how all kids have a better chance to thrive when they have equal access to an array of diverse options and resources in K-12 public education.
