Each On the Wall Artist Talk features an artist whose work is currently on view on campus discussing their creative process and how their work is influenced by other fields of study.
This On the Wall Artist Talk features documentary photographer Donna Ferrato. Ferrato has been an artist and photographer for more than 30 years. Her photographs of domestic violence and its aftermath have become landmark essays in the field of documentary photography, challenging social attitudes and putting a spotlight on the devastating impact of everyday violence. In this virtual artist talk, Donna will discuss her photography and anti-violence advocacy efforts. Donna’s photographs will be on view in the exhibition Donna Ferrato: Unbeatable in the Kirkhof Center Wall Gallery (across from the info desk) October 1, 2021 through March 4, 2022.
