Book Cover for The Road To Wisdom by Francis Collins

Join us on Wednesday, November 4, for a one-time discussion of the book, The Road to Wisdom:  On Truth, Science, Faith and Trust by Dr. Francis Collins. We are excited to offer this opportunity just a few days before Dr. Collins comes to GVSU!

In his book, Dr. Collins reminds us of the four core sources of judgment and clear thinking:  truth, science, faith, and trust.  Drawing on his work at the Human Genome Project and as head of the National Institutes of Health, as well as on ethics, philosophy, and Christian theology, Collins makes a robust, thoughtful case for each of the core sources -- their reliability and their limits. It is a deeply thoughtful guidebook to get us beyond societal divisions and back to the sources of wisdom.

This book discussion is for anyone who is interested in joining this community discussion.  Our facilitators for this group will be Liz English and Karen Meyers. All are welcome!

Participants will be asked to have read the entire book prior to this session.
