Global climate change is already negatively affecting and is expected to have more dramatic effects on the livelihoods and well-being of communities around the world. There is also an urgent need to adapt to climate change impacts that can’t now be prevented and to prepare for inevitable risks. The need for robust adaptation strategies to alleviate human vulnerability must be balanced and coordinated with climate change mitigation and sustainable development priorities.

Join the GVSU Climate Change Education Solutions Network in celebration of the Global Climate Change Week and its 7th annual Climate Change Education Solutions Summit (CCESS). The CCESS2025 "Rethinking the Role of Education in Times of Climate Emergency: Reflect, Repair, Regenerate" is inviting all educators, students, and community members to engage in a constructive discussion on the role of education in climate action. There is an urgent need to develop just, equitable, and sustainable solutions for the global climate crisis to protect the present and future generations.
