This lecture will explore how high-pressure experimental science, geophysical observations, and evidence from planetary materials can be combined to constrain the composition, formation, and evolution of Earth’s deep interior, with particular focus on the core. This may be of interest to geology majors as well as interested students in physics, chemistry, and/or materials science.
