This page provides PDF copies of the Program Handbooks for GVSU's Teacher Education Programs. These handbooks are designed for mentor teachers, students, faculty, and clinical instructors in Teacher Apprenticeship and Teacher Internship.
Two types of materials are available:
- Program Handbooks for both the Undergraduate and GTC (Graduate Teacher Certification) Programs.
- Mentor Teacher Learning Modules: Online training for teachers who want to mentor our students.

Midterm Evaluations - Important Info
Mentor Teachers will receive a packet including the evaluation forms. Here is what to do:
- Fill out the written evaluation form (it's a Word document).
- Give the completed form to:
- Your student apprentice or intern, OR
- The clinical instructor, OR
- Mail it to: Teaching and Learning Department, 401 Fulton St. W, 419C Richard M. DeVos Center, Grand Rapids, MI 49504
Mentor Teacher Learning Modules
These modules are designed to help our teachers become great mentors!
- Work at your own pace.
- Learn about hosting a GVSU teacher apprentice or teacher intern.
- Receive a certificate when you finish.
- The modules are not required, but very helpful!
