In addition to Education graduate degrees, GVSU also offers endorsements at the graduate level for educators who already hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate.
Graduate Program Options
GVSU offers Master's programs in a variety of areas, as well as an Educational Specialist in Leadership degree and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership (in partnership with Eastern Michigan University).
Graduate Teacher Certification (GTC) Program
This intensive, full-time teacher preparation program is designed for adults who have obtained a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college. The GTC program will prepare candidates for their initial, standard teaching certificate in the state of Michigan. Graduate Endorsements for Teaching
GVSU offers endorsements at the graduate level for students who already hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate.
Graduate Certificate in Online/Blended Instruction
Graduate Certificate in English as a Second Language (ESOL)
Completing a graduate certificate does not result in teaching certification or lead to an additional endorsement for students who already hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate.
