In addition to Education graduate degrees, GVSU also offers endorsements at the graduate level for educators who already hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate.
Graduate Program Options
GVSU offers opportunities to pursue a Master's in Education in a variety of areas, as well as an Educational Specialist in Leadership degree and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership (in partnership with Eastern Michigan University).
Graduate Teaching Certification (GTC) Program
This intensive, one-year, full-time teacher training program is designed for adults who hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college and who already have, or are willing to acquire, a "teachable" major (and possibly a teachable minor) prior to joining the program.
Graduate Endorsements for Teaching
GVSU offers endorsements at the graduate level for students who already hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate.
Graduate Certificate in Online/Blended Instruction
Graduate Certificate in English as a Second Language (ESOL)
Completion of a graduate certificate does not result in teaching certification or lead to an additional endorsement for students who already hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate.

Project or Thesis Handbooks
Towards the end of your graduate degree program, you will complete a 693 project course or 695 thesis course. Handbooks for the project and thesis, project/thesis samples, and other M.Ed. Capstones resources are available to assist students in completing their project or thesis.
