Dr. Kate LaLonde is an Associate Professor in Teaching & Learning at Grand Valley State University and a doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Her teaching and research focus on assessment-driven instruction for students with Autism and other developmental disabilities, with an emphasis on preparing special education teachers to implement evidence-based assessment, intervention, and data-based decision-making with fidelity. Dr. LaLonde’s work examines instructional strategies within pre-service and in-service teacher preparation programs to improve student outcomes, particularly in the areas of early literacy and language development. She has published in the areas of autism, early intervention, teacher preparation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
