The purpose of this scholarship is to benefit students who desire to enter the teaching profession.

*Note: This is a need-based scholarship, which means you must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA. We will determine your eligibility once we receive it.

• Candidates must be accepted for or currently attending GVSU
• Must be an incoming freshman student who intends to become an elementary or secondary teacher or who wishes to major in a teachable discipline
• Must be enrolled full-time as a degree-seeking student
• Must demonstrate financial need through the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Priority will be given to candidates who are graduates of Allendale, White Pigeon, Forest Hills and Northview school districts
• This scholarship may be renewed without reapplication, provided the student continues to meet the qualifications and based on the availability of funding. This scholarship may be awarded to an individual for a maximum of five (5) academic years.
