Free Ultrasound Scan for Moms-To-Be

Dear Mom-To-Be,

Welcome to Grand Valley State University!

We are so glad to have the opportunity to scan your baby.  Your willingness to participate with our program provides a great learning experience for the sonography students here at GVSU.

If you meet the requirements below and choose to participate, you will be scanned in the privacy of GVSU’s ultrasound laboratory with state of the art ultrasound equipment. Ultrasound students will perform the scan under the direct supervision of faculty, all of whom are registered sonographers. Each volunteer experience will last approximately one hour.

The university has a few requirements that must be followed in order for these sessions to occur:

Requirements for Pregnant volunteers:

  • A copy of your complete 20-week ultrasound report, which should be on file with your physician.
    OR
  •  A signed liability waiver that can be downloaded below. This states the intent of the scanning practice is solely for the purpose of experience for the student. The scan cannot be used for any medical purpose.

We hope you will consider coming to GVSU and allowing our future sonographers the opportunity to image/scan your baby.

Thank you!
