CTE 101 Workshop - RSVP

GVSU faculty and staff are invited to attend the CTE 101 Workshop to explore how Career & Technical Education (CTE) connects K-12 learning, college pathways, and student success at GVSU.

Local CTE experts will provide an overview of Career & Technical Education, address common misconceptions, and highlight how today's CTE programs combine rigorous academic, technical, and real-world learning to prepare students for college and the workforce. Participants will gain a better understanding of Michigan's CTE landscape, the students and communities served by these programs, and the many ways CTE learning can align with university-level coursework.

The workshop will also showcase real examples of successful partnerships, college credit alignment, and student impact. Faculty and staff will leave with a greater understanding of the important role GVSU plays in supporting CTE students and strengthening pathways from high school to college.

The program will conclude with opportunities to get involved through course and curriculum review, partnership development, and engagement with local Career and Technical Education centers and programs.
