Emergency Services

The University Counseling Center is an available resource for students experiencing an urgent situation or crisis. The UCC is located in the 206 Student Services on the Allendale campus and 101B DeVos on the Downtown Pew campus.

The following is a list of 24/7 crisis resources for current GVSU students.

IF YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE:

  • During Office Hours: We offer same-day urgent consultations at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
    • ALLENDALE: Call us at (616) 331-3266 or stop by our office at 206 STU:
      • Monday - Friday
    • DOWNTOWN: Call us at (616) 331-3266 or stop by our office at 101B DeVos:
      • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • When The Office Is Closed:
    Contact your RA or Residence Life Grad Assistant. In an emergency call 911 or Dept. of Public Safety at (616) 331-3255.
     
  • Off-Campus Emergencies: 
    CALL 911 or proceed to the nearest hospital emergency room, or call 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
