Biros lab publishes in Acta Crystallographica Section C.

Professor Shannon Biros and students in her lab published an article titled "Five imide derivatives of 4-azatetracyclo[5.3.2.02,6.08,10]dodec-11-ene-3,5-dione: hydrogen bonding and intermolecular interactions." The paper outlines the synthesis, characterization, and X-ray crystallographic analysis of five distinct imide derivatives featuring a polycyclic ring core. Through single-crystal diffraction, the authors analyze how specific functional groups attached to the imide nitrogen atom dictate non-covalent packing networks, such as intermolecular C—H⋯O, C—H⋯F, and C—H⋯π interactions within the solid state.
